Now, Base for Life is stepping up, announcing that they've "made connections" with Tameer to discuss their proposal for rental properties. The organization focuses on securing funding from various regional and national bodies to make their projects a reality. At the group's annual general meeting, Ms. McGrath highlighted the widening income gap and the unsustainable rise in house prices and rents relative to local wages. She emphasized that many families are trapped in a cycle of "high-price, low-security, variable quality and expensive rental properties", arguing that relying solely on private investment to solve the housing crisis simply isn't working.
